2015 Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc
VARIETAL BLEND: 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sauvignon Musque
SOIL: Alluvial river deposits. Well drained sandy soils with underlying grave deposits.
TECHNIQUE: Manually harvested at night and in the cool mornings to insure the fruit delivered to the winery arrives at a temperature of 50°F or cooler. The grapes are immediately pressed using a gentle bladder press. The freshly pressed juice is then cold fermented in stainless steel tanks. In order to preserve the aromatic complexities of the fruit, this Sauvignon Blanc does not undergo malo-lactic fermentation. After fermentation the wine is aged sur-lie in stainless steel tanks to add complexity and round out the mouth feel.
PRODUCTION: 1223 Cases
WINEMAKER: Bill Parker
Aromas of stone fruit with hints of fresh cut hay along with notes of kiwi fruit and citrus blossom come forward from this wine. On the pallet, flavors include tangerine, muddled thyme and hints of almond all balanced with crisp acidity, leading to a lingering finish.
